1. Xuân Thủy - Cầu Giấy
Due to the construction of the elevated railway from Nhon to Hanoi station, the section of Xuân Thủy - Cầu Giấy has been narrowed to only half of its previous width for many years. This is the main road passing through many universities with a large number of students. At the same time, workers from suburban districts commute daily to the city center for work, making this a regularly congested route.
During the time from 7 am to 9 am and 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, this road becomes heavily congested and difficult to navigate. Traffic authorities and police officers have to work hard to regulate traffic flow.

2. Lê Văn Lương – Tố Hữu
Locals often joke that this is the 'exclusive' street for cars. During rush hours, cars line up horizontally on the road, making it difficult for other vehicles to move. Motorbikes and bicycles have to weave through, even using pedestrian sidewalks.
Connected to Lê Văn Lương is Tố Hữu street, the stretch from Trung Văn intersection to the intersection with Thanh Bình street frequently experiences traffic jams. Due to the high population density migrating to the Southwest of the capital, numerous new urban areas in districts like Hà Đông have caused a large influx of people entering or leaving the city during peak hours from 7 am to 9 am.

3. Tây Sơn - Nguyễn Lương Bằng
The Tây Sơn - Nguyễn Lương Bằng route has a high volume of traffic, but the road is deteriorating, with many potholes and narrow lanes, and the pedestrian sidewalks are very small and often entirely occupied. Therefore, during peak hours, vehicles traveling through this route encounter significant difficulties.
Especially the section without overpasses from Ngã Tư Sở to the foot of the Thái Hà - Chùa Bộc overpass, Nguyễn Lương Bằng to Ô Chợ Dừa. Not only does traffic congestion occur during peak hours, but this section of the road also frequently experiences traffic accidents.

4. Hầm Kim Liên - ngã tư Xã Đàn - Phạm Ngọc Thạch
The stretch from Kim Liên Tunnel to the intersection of Xã Đàn and Phạm Ngọc Thạch is also one of the traffic hotspots prone to congestion during peak hours every day, especially worsening during rainy weather.
Many people have the dangerous habit of parking under the tunnel to avoid rain, which directly leads to serious accidents.

5. Nguyễn Trãi
Since the construction of the elevated urban railway Cát Linh - Hà Đông began, Nguyễn Trãi street has suddenly become Hanoi's new 'painful road.' Along the entire stretch from Ngã Tư Sở overpass to the Trần Phú area (Hà Đông district), vehicles always face difficulties regardless of the time of day.
Many workers have to call in sick, and late students have to endure in the congested traffic. It's not until nearly noon that the congestion situation is somewhat relieved, and vehicles can slowly 'escape' from the horrendous gridlock.

6. Ngã ba Nguyễn Hữu Thọ - Giải Phóng
The Nguyễn Hữu Thọ - Giải Phóng route frequently experiences congestion in the morning from around 7 - 9 am. Besides the heavy traffic flow, the proximity to the bus station leads to improper traffic distribution.
Motorbikes on Nguyễn Hữu Thọ often wait for red lights for a long time, causing congestion on this road. Additionally, the route intersects with the railway, making it feel like the road is 'choked.'
