Challenge yourself, not by going far, but by grabbing your backpack to Tam Dao town and conquering the three peaks of this range. This newly discovered trekking route is eagerly sought after by many young adventurers.
Embark on a trekking journey to Thiên Thị, Thạch Bàn, and Phù Nghĩa in Tam Dao.
Tam Dao is a mountain range stretching approximately 50km, covering an area of 850km², running in the Northeast - Southeast direction across the provinces of Vĩnh Phúc, Thái Nguyên, and Tuyên Quang. Among them, Thiên Thị peak (1,591m high), Thạch Bàn peak (1,420m high), and Phù Nghĩa peak (also known as Phù Nghì or Máng Chỉ, 1,250m high).

Tam Dao tourism, to conquer all three peaks in a day, you need to ensure you are in good health. Mr. Thạch Thanh Hùng – a mountain climbing enthusiast who recently conquered this route – shared: “We set off very early, around 5 in the morning. With favorable weather, it took us just over an hour to reach the summit of Phù Nghĩa.

The fantastic feature of Tam Dao mountain range is its lush primeval forest, especially the bamboo forest with its straight stems, creating a cool and mystical space reminiscent of scenes from the movie 'Ten Layers of Robes'. The most marvelous moment is at dawn when the light filters through millions of leaves, blending into the misty haze, providing a feeling of both tranquility and romance.

Conquering Phù Nghĩa Peak isn't too difficult. The biggest challenge lies in overcoming yourself in the initial stage. This is because your body is not yet accustomed to movement. If you overcome yourself, you can surely confidently conquer the next 2 peaks.

Thiên Thị is considered the most beautiful peak. At the mountain top, you can extend your sight far to admire the swirling clouds in the distant valleys. Clouds surround you while various types of forest flowers bloom around.
However, before enjoying this sensation, you must overcome some steep paths. The rocky slopes are not continuous but are densely packed. In some sections, you have to overcome thick tree trunks blocking the way. An important note is that you must carefully study the route to avoid getting lost.

The greatest challenge lies at Thạch Bàn Peak, where your body is already soaked in fatigue, and the path becomes increasingly difficult. It is not an exaggeration when many professional hikers rate conquering the 3 peaks of Tam Dao as more challenging than Fansipan. The cliffs zigzag, standing side by side, one side with trees, the other with cliffs. In many sections, you have to hold tightly to tree roots or use ropes to cross.
Unlike the previous two peaks where you used a stick for easier movement, at this point, many decide to 'discard weapons' and move by 'four limbs' for firmness and convenience.

Perhaps the greatest reward for trekkers in the final stretch is the feeling of happiness when overcoming themselves. “Reaching the summit, my body was almost exhausted but strangely filled with a very strange enthusiasm. The wonderful thing is when I realized that I could conquer what seemed impossible and then aroused a passion to conquer the next challenges,” Ms. Phạm Thị Hương enthusiastically shared after returning from the exciting trekking journey.

Upon returning, you will continue to immerse yourself in the cool green bamboo forest. Along the way, you can stop at some stream crevices to indulge in the cool water after the wonderful journey.
