Axie Infinity is actively strengthening its security defenses.
The parent company of Axie Infinity, a purely Vietnamese NFT game, has recently announced a reward of $1 million USD (approximately 23 billion VND) for anyone who discovers security vulnerabilities in all of the company's products.
Mr. Aleksander Leonard Larsen, the Chief Operating Officer of Sky Mavis, stated that the purpose of this Bug Bounty program is to encourage white-hat hackers and third-party security experts to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
Sky Mavis accepts and rewards all types of issues related to its internal systems, including smart contract bugs, blockchain vulnerabilities, and common web vulnerabilities.
Sky Mavis offers substantial rewards for discovering vulnerabilities, potentially up to $1 million USD, paid out in AXS tokens and unlocked after 6 months. White-hat hackers who uncover security vulnerabilities in the Axie Infinity game stand a chance to receive well-deserved rewards.

Sky Mavis's response followed the recent Ronin bridge attack on March 29th, resulting in the theft of nearly $620 million worth of Ethereum and USDC from Axie Infinity. This marks the most severe cryptocurrency attack in history.
Subsequently, Sky Mavis pledged to fully compensate all affected users of the attack. To accomplish this, Sky Mavis organized a fundraising round of $150 million with the participation of numerous major organizations.
According to an announcement by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the investigation into the Ronin network attack revealed that the Lazarus Group was responsible.

According to the US Department of the Treasury, the Lazarus Group hackers also operate under various aliases such as APPLEWORM, APT-C-26, GROUP 77, GUARDIANS OF PEACE, HIDDEN COBRA, OFFICE 91, RED DOT... The US Treasury has now added the wallet address of the Axie Infinity attacker to the watchlist.
Statistics indicate that Axie Infinity currently boasts 2.2 million monthly active players and is the most popular NFT game of all time.
