Legend has it that over 200 years ago, a statue of Lady was discovered at the peak of Mount Sam. The locals desired to bring it down for worship, yet many strong men failed to bring the statue down the mountain.

Following the advice of a local medium, nine virgin girls were selected to carry the statue down the mountain. However, upon reaching the foot of the mountain, the statue suddenly became immovable. Thus, this place was chosen to build a shrine to worship Lady of the Realm.
According to various studies, this statue is made of ancient sandstone. Furthermore, it holds significant artistic value and is believed to have been crafted in the late 6th century. Some other records suggest that the statue was originally a forgotten Buddha statue of the ancient Khmer people, rediscovered by locals.

It is known that Lady was initially constructed by Lord Thoai Ngoc, starting as a simple wooden structure. Later, as a gesture of gratitude, the locals decided to contribute and build a new, magnificent shrine for worship in 1870.

Upon arrival, you will perceive the shrine's construction and design imbued with profound artistic essence. At the upper level of the main hall, imposing divine statues are adorned. The doors and other details of the shrine are intricately carved and splendidly adorned.
