In reality, when using a Winphone device, you've likely set up a Windows Live account. With a Windows Live account, your contacts are automatically stored whenever there's an internet connection. However, many people overlook or forget their account passwords. Moreover, the format obtained from a Windows Live account, *.CSV, is less common compared to *.VCF for transferring contacts to other devices. Therefore, use the Contacts Backup for Windows Phone tool for the most convenient *.VCF contact file.

Performing contacts backup on the Winphone device:
Step 1: Launch the application after downloading.
Step 2: On the working interface, toggle the Hotmail switch to green. If you wish to extract contacts from other sources like Facebook or Skype, you can also toggle those switches to green.
Step 3: Still on this interface, press the downward arrow icon as depicted below.
Step 4: Here, Backup Contact will provide you with an address for you to access. For example, in this article: http://192.168.1.108:5656

You can enter this address into any web browser on your computer to download the contact file in the *.zip format. Extracting the wp contacts backup.zip file will give you the wp contacts backup.vcf file. With this *.VCF file, you can easily copy your contacts to iOS or Android.
