Bản Giốc Waterfall: A Must-Visit Spot in Cao Bang
Located in Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, Bản Giốc Waterfall is approximately 90 km from Cao Bang city and nearly 400 km from Hanoi. As visitors approach Bản Giốc, they can already hear the thundering sound of the waterfall. From a height of over 30 meters, large water blocks cascade down over numerous limestone steps. In the middle of the waterfall, there is a wide rock platform covered with trees, dividing the water into 3 streams like three white silk ribbons.

The remote location and underdeveloped tourism services have prevented Bản Giốc waterfall from becoming a popular destination for many travelers, but its pristine beauty remains the main attraction of this majestic waterfall. Those who have visited Bản Giốc waterfall cannot deny that it is a priceless gift bestowed by nature upon Cao Bang province in particular and Vietnam in general.

Visiting Bản Giốc waterfall at any time of the year will leave you satisfied because almost every moment here is mesmerizingly beautiful. The rainy season at Bản Giốc waterfall lasts from June to September. This is when the waterfall flows vigorously, producing white foam and presenting a threatening yet magnificent sight. From October to May is the dry season, when the water flows gently and peacefully, making it easier to travel along the routes.

The water at Bản Giốc waterfall rushes down day and night, smashing countless flat rocks into myriad white dust particles that spread over a large area. On sunny days, the water vapor even forms a shimmering, magical rainbow. At the foot of Bản Giốc waterfall lies a wide, flat river surface like a mirror. On both sides are lush green grasslands and forests.

Furthermore, the road leading to Bản Giốc waterfall winds its way through the mountains, with fresh, mineral-rich air, allowing travelers to enjoy the picturesque countryside scenery of the highlands, which is very poetic and romantic.
