In Cẩm Thanh Commune, Hoi An, karaoke singing for tourists in the coconut forest area is banned to avoid noise pollution.
Prohibition of Karaoke Singing in Hoi An's Seven Wonders Coconut Forest
The local authorities in Cẩm Thanh Commune, Hoi An, prohibit all forms of karaoke singing on the river to serve tourists at the coconut forest tourist spot. This is to ensure inland waterway traffic safety, prevent noise pollution, and minimize the impact on the lives and activities of the surrounding residents. It contributes to establishing this place as an eco-friendly, sustainable tourist destination in Hoi An.

From November 20, individuals, businesses, and enterprises violating the ban will be handled according to legal regulations, with the confiscation of items and vehicles.

Cẩm Thanh Coconut Forest is situated approximately 3 km southeast of the old town center of Hoi An. It is often likened to 'Southern Vietnam within the heart of Hoi' with its marshy areas along the river, numerous water channels fostering the growth of water coconuts. Initially covering an area of about 7 hectares, it is known as Seven Wonders Coconut Forest. After years of development, the coconut forest now spans over 100 hectares, protected to serve tourists.
