Nestled on the back of the Di Linh plateau, approximately 14 km northwest of Bảo Lộc city, Bảo Lâm Lake unveils its dreamy allure in the town of Lộc Thắng, gracefully winding its way to nurture vast fields of green tea and vibrant coffee plantations.
Bảo Lâm Lake: A Poetic Retreat in the Highland
Following Nguyen Van Cu road towards Bảo Lâm district (Lâm Đồng), the outskirts of Bảo Lộc city reveal undulating hills adorned with lush industrial plantations. Upon reaching Lộc Thắng town, the enchanting Bảo Lâm Lake unfolds, a refreshing oasis of greenery.
Lost in the mesmerizing panorama of Bảo Lâm Lake along Hung Vuong road, our exploration took an uncertain turn. The vastness and numerous branches of the lake, resembling a river, left us uncertain of the next direction on the map.
Wandering aimlessly, our group ventured into a village of ethnic communities nestled beside the lake. We sought entry into coffee plantations, proceeding to leisurely explore the eastern part of the lake in the cool evening breeze.
From the high hill, gazing far and wide, one side reveals vast, expansive rice fields, further beyond are misty gray mountain ranges winding intricately. On the other side, a small, tranquil town emerges gracefully in the shimmering mist...
The natural scenery around the lake is dyed with a serene and dreamy atmosphere.
Continuing our journey, we explore the clean and lush paths along the lake in the town of Lộc Thắng, then cross through endless tea plantations on the outskirts to reach the western bank and visit Hoa Nghiêm Pagoda.
The scenery of the pagoda is absolutely stunning, and in the tranquil space of the sunset, it becomes even more serene. Some visitors enter the main hall for a Buddhist ceremony, while a few young people sit under the pagoda's gate, admiring the dreamy view of Bảo Lâm Lake and welcoming the gentle, refreshing breeze from the lake.
According to local residents, when the rainy season arrives, the rising water expands the lake's area, making it larger and more beautiful. Thus, the lake becomes even more beautiful.
The most beautiful views of Bảo Lâm Lake are during the peaceful moments of sunrise or sunset. At that time, a layer of mist envelops everything, making the lake and Lộc Thắng town appear as if floating in the ethereal mist, sometimes hidden, sometimes revealed like a fairyland.
