Arrived at the destination at 12:30 PM, we seized the opportunity to enjoy a bowl of specialty noodle soup or seafood noodles priced around 30-35,000 VND per bowl.
Subsequently, we proceeded to purchase train tickets. Due to a misunderstanding, assuming all trains had a duration of 45 minutes, we ended up buying tickets for a train with a 1 hour 30 minute journey. Waiting for the train under the scorching heat at the tail section was uncomfortable, but once it started moving, the breeze was refreshing. Sitting at the front section was pleasant due to the air conditioning. The ticket price was 200,000 VND per one-way trip. It's advisable to purchase round-trip tickets. In case of unforeseen circumstances like a storm, having a return ticket ensures a prompt return to the mainland. Return tickets offer flexibility in timing changes, just make sure to contact the bus company early.

Accommodation: This was the most challenging aspect. We rented a motorbike for 200,000 VND per day plus 1 liter of petrol. Renting for 2 days totaled 345,000 VND. Despite the cost, the bike was in good condition and ran smoothly.
Having read about a resort near Hong Van Beach online, we were intrigued and decided to head straight there. The place looked beautiful but seemed pricey and far from the town center. We scouted along Hong Van Beach for rooms and observed there weren't many dining options nearby. Staying here would mean enduring hunger or paying exorbitant prices.
It's worth noting that power outages and water shortages are common here, but the proximity to the beach is a plus. Evening swims are delightful, but the water isn't as clear in the morning due to low tide. Consequently, we returned to the town center in search of accommodation.
There are numerous accommodation options in the town center, reasonably priced too. We stayed at the Orange Storm Hotel for 350,000 VND per room. Standing at the pier and looking towards 10 o'clock, you can't miss the vibrant orange building. Our room on the 4th floor was clean, spacious, and boasted a beautiful view, both in the morning and evening.
Back in the room, I rested for a bit, freshened up, then drove up to the lighthouse to catch the sunset. The scenery up there was quite stunning, and there's a parking fee of 5,000 VND.
Afterward, we returned to the beginning of Love Road to admire the mesmerizing crimson sunset... There are plenty of food stalls along the coastline in the center, offering hotpot, grilled dishes, mostly seafood. We ordered a seafood hotpot for 500,000 VND, not the best taste but the seafood was fresh.

Day 2
We woke up early, had breakfast, and rode out to Cau My Rock Beach. The road to the beach is easy, but if you're not careful, you might take the wrong turn. There are 3 accessible rock beaches, one with a fee of 10,000 VND/motorbike, the other 2 just park by the roadside and enjoy, take photos. The water is incredibly clear, and the rocks are beautiful. We spent the entire morning there, capturing photos and having fun.
For lunch, we opted for a seafood meal, including squid, clams, vegetables, soup, and rice, totaling 300,000 VND.

In the afternoon, we went to Hong Van Beach for a swim. The water is clear, but there are many black leaves and white sand mixed, not very clean. There are many picturesque spots here, charming houses, so bring your phone or camera for beautiful shots.
Day 3
In the early morning, we attempted to visit Van Chay Beach, but found it impractical due to the remote location, difficult access, ongoing road construction, and limited amenities at the beach.
We also skipped the option of visiting Co To Island due to the relatively high cost of renting a boat, approximately 600-800,000 VND.
For those aiming to return to Hanoi on the same day, purchasing a train ticket for the 10:00 AM departure is advisable. Around 12:15 - 13:00, there are buses available to return to Hanoi. Upon arrival at Cai Rong Pier, visitors can have a meal before boarding the bus back.

The trip wasn't overly budget-friendly, but it was suitable and reasonably priced. Travelers can consider and select accommodations and dining options that fit their budget.
In reality, Co To Island doesn't offer an abundance of tourist attractions. While there are several beaches, most visitors flock to Hong Van Beach. The evenings on Co To Island are lively, with outdoor karaoke sessions until 11:00 PM, ensuring an enjoyable atmosphere... Group trips are more fun, but solo travelers can also find their own unique experiences.
You can comfortably travel to Co To Island with a budget of around 1.5-2 million VND.
