Since there is no airport in Phan Thiet, the nearest airports are Tan Son Nhat or Cam Ranh (about 200 km away). Typically, you can fly from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City or Nha Trang and then choose between two options to get to Phan Thiet: by bus or by train.
If departing from HCMC, traveling by car is the easiest and cheapest option because the roads are easy to drive on, with many guesthouses and restaurants along the way. The journey takes about 4 hours. You can choose reputable bus companies like Sinh Cafe, Tam Hanh, Phuong Trang, and Mai Linh (average sleeper bus ticket price is around 180,000 VND/person)... Buses will take you directly to Mui Ne, dropping you off at the right resort or hotel you're staying at.
With the train (average ticket price is around 160,000 VND/person), if you're traveling for 3 to 4 days or more, it's advisable to bring your own bike, which will save you a lot of money. A tip when bringing a motorcycle on the train is to make sure to drain all the fuel, as fuel is often siphoned off on the train. Remember to buy the return ticket in advance as parking spaces are limited and tickets sell out quickly. You can inquire about the parking fee directly when booking the ticket.
The nearest station to Phan Thiet is Muong Man, about 12 km west of Phan Thiet. Thong Nhat trains from Hanoi to Saigon and vice versa stop here. From Muong Man, tourists can take a taxi, motorbike taxi, or bus to Phan Thiet. There are also buses from the station to Mui Ne, taking about 30-40 minutes.
In Phan Thiet, if you're not driving your own vehicle, it's best to rent a motorbike from local motorbike taxi drivers or at hotels and guesthouses in the area to explore the beautiful sights of Phan Thiet. The rental price is around 100,000 VND per day. Additionally, you can rent a Jeep (priced at 500,000 VND per day) to drive about 30 km to the white sand dunes and yellow sand dunes for sightseeing and photography.

Mui Ne boasts numerous beach resort areas, most of which feature beachfront thatched-roof bungalows. More upscale hotels offer outdoor swimming pools, water sports facilities, sun loungers, restaurants, bars, and spas, with prices starting from 40 USD per day.
You can find many guesthouses along Nguyen Trai, Le Loi, Nguyen Dinh Chieu streets, with average prices around 300,000 VND per room per day during regular times. Additionally, there are many hotels on Tran Hung Dao street with affordable prices, but since they are located on a main road, they can be noisy. You can also opt for beachfront hotel rooms instead of those in the city, such as Hon Rom 2 Hotel.
Camping in Mui Ne – Phan Thiet
Some people enjoy the freedom and adventure, or simply want to minimize costs. You can consider camping services in Phan Thiet.
