Seemingly, the pressure generated by LPL teams isn't significant compared to Gen.G, T1.
In the bracket of MSI 2023, matches between LPL and LCK representatives will take place quite late. However, these matches are all of significant importance, thus their appeal will be greatly elevated. For example, the upcoming MSI 2023 bracket finals will witness T1 clashing with JD Gaming (JDG).

However, according to Golden Guardians' (GG) player Gori, LCK representatives will prove superior to LPL teams. Gori discloses that the lane pressure from teams like JDG, BLG is actually not substantial. Therefore, Gori believes JDG or BLG won't have a chance to compete for the title against T1, Gen.G at MSI 2023.
“We (GG) are the team that has played against both LPL representatives, and I believe the results were better than expected. I used to think GG would be annihilated by JDG or BLG within the first 5 minutes to the point of no recovery. However, they didn't exert enough pressure on us. Sometimes, I even doubted JDG's chances against Gen.G or T1. LCK teams always create significant pressure during practice matches” - Gori shares.

Truly, when watching LPL representatives play, viewers may notice they play quite safely in the laning phase. Teams like JDG or BLG only truly excel compared to their opponents in skirmish organization. For example, in the recent match between Cloud9 and BLG, the LCS representative often took the lead in the early stages of the game.

Essentially, when facing supposedly weaker teams from the LCS, JDG or BLG can defeat opponents even without winning lanes. However, upcoming adversaries like Gen.G or T1 operate on a completely different level compared to LCS teams. It is hoped that LPL teams will make reasonable adjustments in their approach to matches in the future to advance further in MSI 2023.
