The Sun Blade, a mighty sword with immense power, has been passed down through centuries, originating from a continent that sank into the depths of the sea long ago. This sword is safeguarded absolutely by the Swordsmen Council due to its fearsome power.
It is said that the Sun Blade is destined to defeat the Monster Association and serve in protecting the Earth. If it falls into the wrong hands, it could threaten the safety of humanity and all creatures. Notably, not everyone can wield the Sun Blade; only specific individuals can draw it from its sheath.
Unlike other weapons, this sword chooses a worthy bearer for its power. Even the strongest, if deemed unworthy, cannot wield the Sun Blade. For some swordsmen, the Sun Blade is considered to have a mind of its own, akin to a living being. To date, only the Atomic Samurai has successfully wielded the Sun Blade, receiving it from Nichirin.
Specifically, before his demise, Nichirin concealed the Sun Blade in a dimension within his pearl necklace. He deliberately did so to prevent the Sun Blade from falling into the wrong hands, until it ultimately ended up in the possession of the Atomic Samurai, becoming a formidable sword against the Monster Association.
In addition, this sword possesses another unique feature that very few blades can claim. The Sun Blade is part of a pair, with another sword known as the Moon Blade. When combined, these two blades create a tremendous power capable of easily defeating adversaries. The Sword Council's goal is to find someone who can wield both the Moon Blade and Sun Blade simultaneously. According to their belief, whoever can use these two legendary swords will become an exceptionally powerful swordsman.
The power of the Sun Blade was demonstrated when the Atomic Samurai emerged as the savior for the Hero Association battling the Emperor Homeless. Initially, the Atomic Samurai couldn't draw the Sun Blade, and he had to focus entirely on mastering it before being able to use it. It seems that the determination within the Atomic Samurai could potentially make him the greatest swordsman in the world.
Atomic Samurai might be one of the prospective users of both the Sun Blade and Moon Blade.
