Tulen stands out as one of the hottest Mid Lane Mages in both ranked matches and Liên Quân tournaments. Many consider the power of this 'Fried Chicken Darling' as a game glitch, a virtual buff because right from the beginning, his lightning bolts can drain more than half of the opponent's health.
All of these factors have contributed to Tulen's notorious reputation, making enemies loathe encountering him and sometimes even making teammates... loathe him more. There are times when teammates deal up to 90% of the damage, and 'Ice Box' suddenly swoops in with a Thunderbird to KS the kill. However, it must be said, Tulen truly becomes powerful and formidable if he gets an early lead. Of course, to help this guy constantly spam Thunderbirds, we also need champions who can support and uplift him, making Tulen easier to play. Here are 5 suggestions for 5 positions that can effectively 'buff' Tulen.

Warrior/Assassin (Top/Jungle) - Zuka
It would be fantastic if Tulen went Mid and had Blue because we all know how much energy he burns if he keeps spamming in clashes. However, Tulen doesn't always get the Blue, especially when the Jungle is occupied by heroes like Wukong, Nakroth, Murad, or Keera. So if you have good teammates in the Jungle who don't consume energy, that's already a fantastic power boost for Tulen.
Wonder Woman is a perfect choice because when she goes for basic gear, finishing Compound Katanas provides enough cooldown reduction to freely give Blue to Tulen. But if Wonder Woman opts for Mace or Spear instead of Longinus Spear, it's not so pleasant to give up the Blue. Aoi is super hot and super powerful without needing energy, but when combined with Tulen's aggression, she quickly runs out of steam. Butterfly is also a good idea, but sometimes she needs the Blue to accumulate 3 passive stacks. Finally, we must not forget Zuka - the national hero for many solo rank players.

Zuka, paired with Tulen, delivers fast and robust damage, and he can comfortably give up the Blue even when building Leviathan's Spear. Normally, Bear doesn't need too much cooldown gear, just enough with 2 items: Compound Katanas and Longinus Spear. Especially in ranks, Zuka isn't heavily banned, making it easy to dive deep into enemy cores and agile enough to push lanes quickly.
In addition to heroes who can give up the Blue, you can choose Assassins capable of quickly bursting damage to coordinate with Tulen's aggression in early and mid-game, such as Kaine, Kriknak,...
Support (SP) - Baldum
Tulen needs a support who can tank, provide vision, and move to assist him in stealing buffs and ganking. These supports need to meet criteria such as good durability, adequate map awareness, annoying crowd control effects,... we have plenty of names to consider. Thane continuously controls while dealing decent damage thanks to his ultimate; Lumburr with perfect Earth Splitters is extremely ideal for Tulen's aggressive playstyle; Mina with pulls and taunts, Tulen just needs to jump in to deal damage and ensure kills.

However, Mytour believes that Baldum will be the most effective hero paired with Tulen. Especially in the early game, even if Tulen hasn't reached level 4 yet, this duo can still make enemies regret. Best of all is when Baldum uses the Binding Charm enchantment, which is excellent for ice-type support heroes, maximally freezing enemies when paired with magic damage dealers. Because when you activate this enchantment, not only does it burn damage, but it also reduces the enemy's magic defense, while recovering skills quite quickly. Therefore, in the early game, Baldum just needs one well-timed Charge, activates the binding, and Tulen uses the 2-1 combo to trigger his passive, and the enemy can go down immediately.
However, this Baldum - Tulen combo can also backfire if they don't understand each other's intentions. Like Baldum pulling enemies in while Tulen misses his second skill, or worse, when Baldum ults a target that Tulen is already using his third skill on.
Marksman (AD) - Violet
If choosing a marksman for a burst combo, shocking damage alongside Tulen, there are plenty of different names. Our main goal is to deplete a significant amount of enemy health, and Tulen just needs to quickly finish them off with a Thunderbird.
Elsu with precise Sniper Shots sets the perfect stage for Tulen's Thunderbird to shine. Especially when supplemented with a ward placed in the river, Tulen can easily roam and gank without fear of ambushes. Joker with his explosive shots or hiding in the bush with his Joker's Trick is not to be underestimated when paired with Tulen. Or if you're confident in your predictive positioning abilities, Laville with accurate Mystic Shots from Dragon to Mid can initiate small skirmishes, leaving Tulen to finish them off.

However, there is still a type of Marksman that doesn't require too much direction, boasting substantial yet elusive damage, and quite agile, that's Violet. In the mid and late game, when she has enough items, her flips and shots combo with her ultimate can take away 2/3 of the opponent's health. Tulen just needs to come in and throw a simple Thunderbird. The damage output of this duo is unquestionable, especially when the enemy doesn't have many tanky heroes, accompanied by a sturdy support, they can exert tremendous pressure.
However, this duo excels in proactive offensive playstyles, but if they're in a passive position, losing their advantage and lacking a supportive tank, it's very difficult to play because neither of them has strong crowd control, so when enemies engage, they're very vulnerable to burst damage.
Marksman (AD) - Hayate
In the positions above, I've introduced heroes to accompany Tulen when he goes Mid. However, if Tulen is used in the Jungle, he really needs a support to accompany him for easy aggression, map checking, and lane pushing. To achieve that, we need Marksman heroes who can stay away from the support's embrace and take care of themselves.
Elsu pairs quite well with Tulen, both capable of poking under tower and dealing significant damage, but precise aiming is crucial for effective defense; Joker, similarly, can comfortably poke under tower without needing a Support, his quick cooldowns make his early game damage unbearable as he sometimes even takes on two opponents at once; however, it's a miss not to mention Hayate. Granted, he may not clear minions from afar efficiently, but with his agility, paired with a solid Marksman on the enemy team, he becomes quite formidable.

Especially when enemies see Tulen jungling and immediately pick 2 - 3 tanky heroes to counter him, Hayate, on the other hand, never fears tanky foes. He can shred tanks like they're paper, leaving Tulen to secure kills during skirmishes.
Currently, there are two slippery equipment pieces alongside Troy's Gauntlet, Gaia's Standard and Medallion of Troy, and if tanks stack these items, damage dealers like Hayate become ecstatic. So, if you use this guy, you can exert pressure on the enemy's itemization choices, making it easier for Tulen in tough matchups.
