In Antarctica, following an expedition with Dr. Davis McClanren, sled dog trainer Jerry Shepherd is forced to evacuate the base with his colleagues due to an impending snowstorm. They leave behind their sled dogs due to an accident and harsh weather. Over six months, Jerry endeavors to find a sponsor to rescue the abandoned dogs. In the frigid Antarctic wilderness, the dog pack struggles to survive until rescue arrives.

Megan Leavey is a US Marine Corps combat veteran, formerly a K9 handler for the Military Police. She was partnered with military working dog Rex (E168). During their training, Megan and Rex participated in extremely dangerous missions, searching for explosives before the military arrived. They both excelled in their duties. However, during one mission, they were injured by a random improvised explosive device (IED), putting their fate in jeopardy.

The film follows the contributions of the dog Rex, helping Detective Moser solve numerous difficult cases. Moser sacrifices himself to save his colleague during a mission. Rex is then adopted by a recently divorced police officer – Alexandre. Together, they solve crimes in and around Vienna. The series has undergone 16 seasons, with Rex having various owners as most of his owners have perished during missions.
8. 101 Dalmatians – The Great Dalmatian Caper (1961)
Pongo and Perdita's family has a delightful litter of 15 Dalmatian puppies. However, their owner's former friend Cruella De Ville has a sinister plan to buy the puppies to make a fashionable fur coat. When denied, Cruella hires thugs to kidnap the puppies and keep them at her mansion. Will Pongo and Perdita find them in time?
9. The Call of the Wild – Wild Echoes (2019)
The film follows the story of Buck, a wild dog who is domesticated and lives on a wealthy family's farm. However, Buck is kidnapped from his owner and forced to become a sled dog in the harsh Alaskan wilderness for gold prospectors. Here, Buck must learn to survive and become the leader of the pack. The primitive nature awakens Buck's instincts, the instincts of wild living. Buck returns to the forest and lives alongside the wolves.
10. Lassie's Homecoming (1943)
Hard times befall the Carraclough family, forcing them to sell their dog to wealthy Duke Rudling. Lassie – unwilling to leave young Joe – often runs through town to wait for Joe after school. The dog's loyalty is tested again when the noble family moves to Scotland, 600 miles away from England. Lassie embarks on a long and perilous journey to return to Joe's loving arms.
