Phú Quý Island
Phú Quý is an untouched island with beautiful beaches in Bình Thuận province, about 120 km by sea from Phan Thiết city. Located approximately 50 km from Phan Thiết city, Bàu Trắng is the only freshwater lake in Bắc Bình district. Amidst the white, arid sand hills and harsh climate, Bàu Trắng is considered a natural gift. Bàu Trắng is divided into two parts by a sandhill running horizontally, locally known as Bàu Ông and Bàu Bà.
Surrounding Bau Ba, there is an abundance of lotus plants cultivated for the purpose of harvesting seeds and tubers. However, the act of cultivating lotus plants has made the landscape famous, resembling a magical oasis amidst the sandy desert. In the summer, the vibrant pink flowers of lotus and water lilies shine under the radiant sun, enhancing the scenery to be even more picturesque and breathtaking.
Coastal Route
For those who enjoy taking the wheel on scenic routes, this is the perfect choice. The Mui Ne – Bau Trang – Phan Ri Cua stretch is renowned as a favorite coastal route, and many adventure enthusiasts include it in the list of the most worthwhile road trips in Vietnam.
Stretching only about 60 km, this route will take you from vast desert landscapes to water reservoirs, lush green meadows, and enchanting coastlines, not to mention the delicious local cuisine. The mostly straight roads seem to extend endlessly, occasionally winding through white sand dunes, giving you the illusion of being in the United States. Due to the unique desert and sand dune terrain, the dry season is the best time to embark on this journey, making it especially suitable for a Tet holiday trip.
Fairy Stream
The Fairy Stream is perhaps the most unique landscape in Phan Thiet, characterized by its mysterious and majestic beauty. You will find yourself wandering into a fairyland, with one side adorned with white and orange-hued rock walls, another side covered in dense greenery, and in the middle, the Fairy Stream stands out with its water dyed orange by the sand. Rarely anywhere else in Vietnam can boast such a peculiar and captivating landscape.
To reach Fairy Stream, navigate your way to Huynh Thuc Khang (Mui Ne Ward, Phan Thiet), and inquire with the locals for the entrance to the stream. The water in Fairy Stream flows gently, not rushing, reaching just above ankle height, with the deepest parts not exceeding the knee. Therefore, visitors often take off their shoes, walking barefoot in the sparkling orange-hued stream to experience the refreshing coolness even in the midst of scorching heat.
Ong Dia Rocks Beach
Ong Dia Rocks Beach is a beautiful, pristine beach with clear blue waters and rocky formations extending into the sea. Located in Ham Tien Ward, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province, it is approximately 9-10 km away from the city center. Known for its stone fence formed by large, peculiarly shaped rocks leading towards the sea, it is an ideal spot for you to indulge in virtual reality check-ins.
