1. When you block someone on Twitter
What do you achieve when you block someone on Twitter specifically?
- When you block someone:
- The blocked account will automatically unfollow you.
- You will automatically unfollow the blocked account.
- Both accounts will not be able to follow each other in the future (unless unblocked).
- Posts from the blocked account will not appear on your timeline. You can only view them by accessing their profile and clicking View Tweet.
- The blocked account cannot message you; instead, you will receive a notification that they have been blocked.

2. How to block someone on Twitter

On your computer, go to the Twitter homepage. Click on the magnifying glass icon, then enter the Twitter handle of the person you want to block in the search bar.

3. How to unblock users on Twitter
If you accidentally blocked someone, or want to make a U-turn, you can totally unblock them.
3.1 On computer
Step 1: Open Twitter on your preferred web browser. On the homepage, select More.

Step 2: Choose Settings and privacy from the menu that appears.

Step 3: Proceed to Privacy and safety >> Mute and block.

Step 4: Select Blocked accounts.

Step 5: Tap the red Blocked button to unblock the corresponding user. Repeat this process for other users you want to unblock.

3.2 On mobile
Step 1: Tap on your profile picture thumbnail at the top right corner >> Settings and privacy.
