In this article, we'll demonstrate using PowerPoint 2010 to blur background images. Please follow along.
Step 1: On the PowerPoint interface just opened -> you click on the Design
Step 2: The Format Background interface appears -> you check Picture or texture fill -> you will see additional options to add an image as the background.
Next, at the bottom, you click on the File button to upload available images from your computer.
Step 3: You navigate to the folder containing images on your computer -> then click on the desired image -> then click Insert.
* Some notes in Step 3:
- Choose balanced background images, ones that need to highlight the content on the presentation slide.
- You should select images with a bright background, along with small dark-colored details that will stand out.
Step 4: In the Format Background interface -> navigate to Transparency -> here, you adjust the horizontal slider to blur the background image (you can also adjust by clicking the arrow next to the slider to choose the percentage of blur).
The above steps for blurring the background image apply to only 1 open slide. If you want to blur the background image for all existing slides:
- Click on any slide then press the shortcut Ctrl + A to select all slides.
- The steps to blur the background image -> you perform similarly to the instructions above. Another way is to blur one slide then press Enter to create multiple similar slides.
Step 5: Finally, you input content for the slide, while adjusting the text color to be suitable and standout against the blurred background image, then it's done.
