BLV Hoàng Luân assesses that TLong could open up opportunities for Vietnamese players in LCK if he performs well.
Just a few days ago, the Vietnamese League of Legends community was stirred when Đặng 'TLong' Thành Long, a Vietnamese player, joined Fredit BRION Challengers - the youth team of BRO competing in LCK CL. LCK CL is regarded as the second tier of competition in the Korean region. It serves as a platform for young players to showcase their abilities before advancing to the main roster or being transferred to other teams or regions.

So, alongside regions like LCS and LPL, LMHT Vietnam has also contributed personnel to LCK - a region known for its stringent restrictions on importing foreign players. TLong becomes the first Vietnamese player to have the opportunity to compete for a team in the LCK CL of Korea. BRO's social media also posted an announcement about this deal. TLong, born in 2003, plays in the Mid Lane position.

After BRO's announcement regarding TLong, many experts and coaches in the Vietnamese LMHT community also shared their thoughts. For instance, Coach Ren revealed that TLong was close to joining Saigon Buffalo's main roster. However, upon learning about TLong's opportunity to play abroad, Coach Ren prioritized the big stage for this talented young player born in 2003.

As for JackieWind - GAM Esports' coach who participated in the 'Be my BRO' project of the BRO team, he mentioned that the program attracted many young, promising players. However, he holds TLong in higher regard compared to the rest.

Recently, during his livestream, renowned Esports commentator BLV Hoàng Luân also weighed in on TLong's situation. The prominent figure in the Vietnamese Esports community shared: 'TLong represents an opportunity for LCK to gain a clearer understanding of Vietnamese players. As long as TLong integrates well, there's no need to be outstanding, just being decent is enough for LCK to perceive VCS differently. It can be said that TLong plays a fairly important role in determining whether Vietnamese players can go abroad or not.'
However, BLV Hoàng Luân also emphasized that it won't be easy for TLong to prove himself, especially when the quality of LCK players is not bad at all. Yet, according to the male commentator, compared to LPL - a region always teeming with talent, there's still a better chance in LCK for TLong himself as well as Vietnamese players in the future.

So, here we have another promising young player from the VCS region given the opportunity to go abroad. Undoubtedly, Vietnamese LoL fans will anticipate a new 'SofM' from TLong's case, thereby providing Vietnamese LoL with more opportunities to reach the big stage.
