Following BLV Wadid's incident, VCS fans immediately recall the Zeros - Optimus drama from previous years.
On the afternoon of January 6th (Vietnam time), the Korean League of Legends community was abuzz with the discovery that former Griffin player and current LCK commentator Wadid was caught sharing a game account with someone else. The incident came to light after an ID with a numbered name appeared in Wadid's chat channel. Initially denying the allegations, Wadid eventually admitted to playing with this ID in several games, leaving him no room for further denial.

Wadid publicly confessed and apologized on his personal Instagram, acknowledging his intention of trying to cover up his actions. Additionally, he announced that he had suspended all of his activities in the League of Legends scene and took full responsibility for his behavior.

Using shared game accounts is a highly sensitive issue in the LCK community and the League of Legends community as a whole. Riot has specific rules regarding this to minimize boosting. Recall back to the 2021 World Championship preparations, DWG KIA's Canyon also violated these rules when he used a game account belonging to a DWG KIA staff member during a friendly game with singer Kang Hye-won, a former member of IZ*ONE.

This incident has also drawn considerable attention from the VCS community. However, it's not because Wadid is well-known in the Vietnamese League of Legends scene but rather because it evokes memories of the Zeros - Optimus drama from years ago. Back then, Zeros shared an account with Minas, which was discovered by Optimus. However, when GAM Esports' former star accused Zeros, the majority of comments criticized him and accused Optimus of playing unfairly. In fact, many influential figures in the League of Legends community also attacked Optimus during that time.

In light of Wadid's recent incident, some VCS fans have resurrected old stories to taunt the 'penalty king' Zeros and those who attacked Optimus in the past.

Riot enforces extremely strict regulations against actions that could lead to boosting, rank manipulation, especially targeting professional players. Adhering to the shared rules and self-improvement is the only way for League of Legends players in general, and the VCS region in particular, to achieve sustainable development.
