Step 1: Booking train tickets online will be done through the official website of Vietnam Railways -> you can access it directly HERE. Upon successful access, you will see the Travel Information section on the website.
Step 2: Firstly, you need to select your departure and destination, and the system will provide suggestions regarding the station locations for your convenience.
Next, you'll see options below to choose whether it's a one-way or round-trip journey and select the departure and return dates.
Step 3: After clicking Search, a confirmation information table will appear, requiring you to confirm the captcha code. Simply check the box and the window will automatically close.
Step 4: Here, the online train booking interface will appear, displaying a list of trains from SE1 to SE9. The train running on the date of your booking will be prioritized and highlighted in green.
The image below allows you to select coaches, and as you choose each coach, the available seats will immediately appear for your selection.
If you choose a round-trip ticket, you'll proceed to select the return journey. The process is similar to selecting the departure, but when you click on a seat, it will display the booking date and time if you haven't paid yet, as well as the amount you need to pay. The website provides clear guidelines and information, so make sure to review them carefully, and to book a ticket, you must select the white boxes.
Below is the booking guideline information you need to know:
- Green coach: Available seats, you can book tickets for this coach.
- Gray coach: Seats not available for booking.
- Light green coach: Currently selected coach, click to choose.
- Red coach: All seats sold out.
- White seat: Available seat, click to book.
- Light green seat: Seat currently being selected.
- Gray seat: Seat not available for booking, usually indicates a fully booked coach.
- Yellow seat: Under transaction (not paid yet).
- Red seat: Sold and paid for.
- Purple seat: Applicable for long-distance journeys.
Step 5: After you've made your selection -> move your mouse cursor to the top of the page -> click Buy Ticket.
Step 6: Next, you'll enter basic information including full name, age group (adult or child), and ID card/citizen identification card or passport.
After entering the details in the Passenger Information section, scroll down to select the payment method. There are currently 4 payment methods available: Online Payment, payment via Payoo, VNPay-QR, or Payment Later
Choose the appropriate payment method then check the I have read carefully box... -> and click Next.
- If you choose Payment Later, you can go to VIB bank branches, post offices, or stations to make the payment and collect your tickets.
- If you opt for Online Payment, your payment card system needs to be enabled for online payment. You can pay with domestic cards, international cards through the gateway of the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam - Napas.
Step 7: Confirmation of ticket information. Pay attention as a window interface will appear asking you to confirm again -> If everything looks good, simply check the Agree to confirm ticket purchase box.
Once you agree to confirm -> the website will display Successfully Booked Tickets information.
