Optimize Internet Speed with Auslogics BoostSpeed
Step 1: To assess the software's effectiveness, determine your current Internet connection speed by accessing SpeedTest.net.
Upon entering the SpeedTest service, click Begin Test
The service will automatically check the transfer speed of data from your current location (where your computer is) to a server location within the country.
Upon completion of the test, detailed information about Internet connection speed (download and upload speed of a file) will be displayed.
For optimal results, instead of testing with a domestic server, you should test on a server located abroad (preferably in the United States). Click New Server to test
On the map, move your current location to the North American region, select the United States, and choose a server located at any location (servers are represented by white spots on the screen)
The service will automatically check your Internet connection speed and provide results for download/upload speeds.
Remember to note these results for comparison with future tests.
Note: During the Internet speed test, avoid downloading data or using Internet-connected software, as it may impact the test results. It is advisable to use the Firefox or IE browser to test the SpeedTest service.
Step 2: Download and install Auslogics Internet Optimizer. After installation, open the program
* Download the latest version of the software: Download Auslogics BoostSpeed
Step 3: Auslogics Internet Optimizer offers two speed optimization modes:
- Auto Optimization: Automatic optimization mode
- Manual Optimization: Manual optimization mode (for those familiar with the Internet).
It's best to choose Auto Optimization. In this mode, there are three main choices for you:
- Fast: Connection speed >1Mbps
- Average: Average connection speed<1>
- Slow: Low connection speed<> (this mode is usually for Dial-up connections).
After selecting the corresponding connection mode --> Analyze to start analyzing the Internet connection
Step 4: During the analysis process, Auslogics Internet Optimizer will automatically explore the settings available on Windows and provide the most accurate changes.
Step 5: Once the analysis is complete, the tool will automatically list the changes in settings on both Windows and the web browsers on your computer.
Click Optimize to confirm these changes.
The tool will automatically save these changes
Step 6: Click Reboot Now to restart your computer
After your computer has restarted, revisit the SpeedTest.net service, perform similar network connection checks as before to reevaluate the current Internet connection of Windows.
Note: Select the same server as chosen before for the most accurate comparison, and use IE or Firefox browser for the test.
