Apple to Unveil New MacBook Pro M1X at Unleashed Event in Just a Few Hours. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman Breaks Down All the Exciting Features Coming to This Product.
Updated on October 19: Apple has unveiled the new MacBook Pro with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, rabbit ear design, and supercharged performance (see details).
According to Gurman, the 14-inch MacBook Pro won't replace the M1 13-inch MacBook Pro; instead, Apple will cease production of the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro with 4 Thunderbolt ports. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros will feature mini LED displays with higher resolutions of 3,024 x 1,964 and 3,456 x 2,234.
Recent rumors also suggest that Apple might equip the display with a notch at the top, housing the camera and ambient light sensor. Moreover, Gurman reveals that the new MacBook Pro will mark the end of the Touch Bar. Particularly noteworthy is the possibility that Apple will introduce faster MagSafe charging on these devices.

Sources also reveal that Apple has experimented with adding HDMI ports or SD card readers to this MacBook Pro lineup. Additionally, the company has considered reintroducing USB-A ports, although this is unlikely to happen.
Noteworthy: This manufacturer has also experimented with equipping these devices with 32GB and 64GB of RAM, although it's still unclear which options will be available to users. It's known that current MacBook models only support a maximum of 16GB of RAM.
Regarding the performance of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, these two products won't have any differences. Instead, Apple will differentiate based on screen size, battery life, and other metrics.
