Despite ongoing improvements, BTC VCS continues to receive constructive feedback.
The opening week of VCS Spring 2023 was truly memorable for both the Vietnamese League of Legends community and the tournament organizers. The match between Saigon Buffalo (SGB) and Team Secret (TS) commenced at 5 PM but concluded well past 10 PM due to various technical issues, including equipment and connectivity problems. These issues also caused a delay in the match between SBTC Esports (SE) and Team Whales (TW).
Moreover, complaints about the in-game interface were notable. The interface only displayed kill scores, turret numbers, and gold amounts for each team, lacking crucial information such as Dragon, Baron, or Herald buffs. Additionally, player names were absent, displaying only team names, with fonts receiving criticism.
However, during the second week of competition, particularly in the postponed match between SE and TW, BTC VCS received abundant praise. This was attributed to the revamped in-game interface, providing more information, and a significant reduction in delay issues. Quick resolution times minimized waiting periods for both spectators and operational staff.
Nevertheless, BTC VCS still has areas for improvement. Notably, the speed of publishing highlight reels showcasing pivotal moments in matches requires attention. For major tournaments, BTC staff or specialized partners usually handle this aspect swiftly, ensuring timely highlights for viewers who may have missed the early matches due to their daytime schedule.
