The major drawback of the Assassin team in Teamfight Tactics is the necessity to acquire 6 different classes as early as possible, leaving only 3 remaining slots (if you don't have Force of Nature) to fill with the most efficiently coordinated unit combinations for your team, or else you'll be knocked out.
Assassin Team Buffs
- Passive (1 or more Assassins): all your Assassins will stealth at the start of each round and leap to the farthest enemy on the board.
- Synergy (buff):
+ With at least 3 Assassins: all Assassin units will receive a 150% critical strike damage increase.
+ With a full set of 6 Assassins: all Assassin units will receive a 350% critical strike damage increase
Building an Assassin Team in Teamfight Tactics
1. Early Game
Playing Assassins is quite exciting as they are scattered across the first 4 tiers right after the game starts, so you'll be able to purchase most of them. The best part is you can get any of the three initial Assassins as soon as you hit level 1. Right from the start, buy Zed or Pyke and then Kha'Zix at level 1. You can effectively use a 3-assassin team comp in the early game, allowing you to accumulate gold and achieve win streaks, especially if you have good items to equip them with. Once you have the first 3 Assassins, continue leveling up, reach level 6, and deploy more Assassins (any of them, as you can't achieve the 6-unit buff until you reach level 6).
If you desire, you can also opt for an early 3 Pirate 3 Assassins (just need level 5), which enables you to gain the advantage of earning more gold.
2. Mid Game
The mid-game phase is when your Assassin lineup starts shining, as you deploy 6 Assassins. The core units of the 6-Assassin lineup include: Kha'Zix, Pyke, Zed, Evelynn, Katarina, and Rengar. Additionally, if you're fortunate enough to acquire Akali early, you can substitute her for Zed. Make sure you position each Assassin class correctly on the board to secure victory.
At level 6, you might be the strongest player in the match, but as others upgrade their champions and equip them further, you might lose a few rounds. Of course, that's perfectly fine, just keep upgrading your units, buying XP, and keeping your gold over 50 to reap economic benefits.
3. Late Game
Adding the final 3 Ninjas is the primary goal in building the Assassin team, especially Akali with the Ninja synergy. Shen also benefits greatly because of his ultimate ability (making all your allies within a small radius evade attacks, not being targeted). This is a one-shot, full DPS Assassin build, and you'll wipe out enemies within a second with this Assassin lineup.
Hoping this Assassin team-building guide in Teamfight Tactics is helpful as Assassins are currently the main components of the meta with the strongest burst damage for players. The Noble Teamfight Tactics lineup is also widely used for its safety and versatility, allowing both newcomers and experienced players to easily secure a spot in the Top 3.
