On the evening of February 1st, the Organizing Committee of the 8th Coffee Festival in 2023 conducted a comprehensive review meeting for the detailed script of the Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, and Festival of Lights within the framework of the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023.
Joining the meeting were esteemed individuals: Vo Van Canh – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, H’Yim Kdoh – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives from various departments, committees, and relevant localities in the province.

According to the report presented at the meeting, the Opening Ceremony of the festival is scheduled to take place at 8:00 PM on March 10, 2023, at 10/3 Square, under the theme 'Buon Ma Thuot - The Destination of the Coffee World.'
The artistic program for the Opening Ceremony consists of three chapters: Chapter 1: Vietnamese Coffee Connecting Continents; Chapter 2: Essence of the Highlands; Chapter 3: Buon Ma Thuot - The Destination of the Coffee World. It will feature performances by singers and artists from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and the Central Highlands provinces.
The Closing Ceremony of the festival is expected to take place at 8:00 PM on March 14, 2023, at 10/3 Square, with the theme 'Buon Ma Thuot, the coffee city - Where creativity begins.' The closing artistic program includes two chapters: Chapter 1: Buon Ma Thuot - Proud Coffee City; Chapter 2: Coffee City - Where Creativity Begins.
The Festival of Lights is scheduled for the evening of March 11, 2023, with the theme 'The Coffee World - Illuminating Ban Me.' This creative and innovative activity is being organized for the first time within the framework of the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Festival Steering Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi urged agencies and units to enhance close coordination for the smooth conduct of festival activities. He emphasized focusing on thorough preparations for key programs and activities to ensure the festival is both fresh and distinctive while preserving the local essence and traditions.
To ensure the festival's preparations, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Festival Organization Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha emphasized that relevant units should promptly adjust and refine the detailed content of the Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, and Festival of Lights based on the opinions of meeting participants. The submission for provincial approval should be completed before February 6, 2022. Special attention should be given to decorating the main stage of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies in harmony with the local culture, and ensuring security and order throughout the festival.

The 8th Coffee Festival in 2023, themed 'Buon Ma Thuot - The Destination of the Coffee World,' is scheduled to take place from March 9 to March 14, 2023, featuring a variety of unique contents and activities.
Through the festival, the aim is to promote the brand of Buon Ma Thuot coffee, elevate its value, and gradually assert the position of Vietnamese coffee in the world market. It also honors those involved in the production, processing, and business of coffee, introducing a distinctive image of coffee culture and other potentials and strengths of the locality.
