This marks my maiden exploration of Lantern Street in the Tran Hung Dao – Luong Nhu Hoc area, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City. The 'paradise' of lanterns in Saigon during the Mid-Autumn Festival also serves as the residential area for the Chinese community.
Visiting here, amidst the modern hustle and bustle, while some Chinese individuals create electric lanterns with flashy lights and loud music, there's another segment of the Chinese population crafting numerous handmade paper products. Serving livelihoods, they still preserve the simple cultural essence of the ethnic group. These emotionally rich lanterns, beyond traditional cultural aspects, carry a significance in providing employment for a small group of individuals who sustain this inherited cultural essence.

Although Luong Nhu Hoc is merely a small neighborhood and a short street, during peak times, it's packed with people.

Bring something to jot down, snap some photos, and get clicking right away. The map is available here.
