Buu Long Pagoda captivates with its majestic exterior, featuring a unique architectural style from the Land of Golden Pagodas, drawing in numerous international travelers.
Buu Long Pagoda - The Most Beautiful Temple in Saigon
As one of the impressive temples in Saigon renowned for its distinctive architecture, Buu Long Pagoda is situated on Nguyen Xien Street, District 9, constructed since 1942. The temple occupies an 11-hectare area, specifically on a hill west of the Dong Nai River, approximately 25km from the city center.

Following the Southern Branch of Primitive Buddhism, the temple only enshrines the statue of Shakyamuni Buddha and never lights incense like other sects. This is the distinguishing feature as well as the uniqueness of the temple.

This place evokes fond memories with its tranquil and serene ambiance, where the architecture never fails to captivate onlookers. The highlight of the temple is the Gotama Cetiya stupa, built in 2007 and completed after 6 years. The stupa spans over 2,000 square meters, towering 70 meters high, constructed in the style of the Phu Nam culture. Surrounding it are smaller copper towers, all gleaming in golden hues.

At the main peak of the stupa is where the Jade Buddha and the Arahan Saints are revered. Right beneath the stupa is a crescent-shaped lake covering an area of 280 square meters, with a fountain in the middle shaped like a dragon.

The architecture of the temple reflects the distinctive Southern Branch of Buddhism in Southeast Asia, adorned with decorative motifs such as winding dragons forming arches, embossed patterns, reliefs, and Dharma wheels,... Due to the golden peak of the tower and the structure resembling some temples in Thailand, many refer to Buu Long Pagoda as the Thai Pagoda. It always attracts a large number of visitors seeking peace and tranquility.
