New Content in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 5
1. Stadium and train station now open - Cargo trains start rolling around Verdansk
The stadium and train station have been expanded. Looking for close-quarters combat opportunities? Seize them at the stadium. Gates and roofs will open up battlegrounds on the field, in the stands, and throughout the entire complex as well as the parking lot.
Do you prefer starting encounters in southern Verdansk? Visit the now active train station.
Making the roster of new battlefields more complete than ever is Freight Train, a locomotive stopping not just to ferry Operators or machinery. Here are some tips to navigate and survive on Freight Train:
- This locomotive's front end can be a convenient spot for players as its iron body can withstand many blows. Just be cautious of other squads trying to crash the party in your train car.
- Freight Train will demolish anything blocking its path. If you're attempting to hop on the train or engage someone near the tracks, consider running away from it, running parallel to it, or climbing atop its roof.
- The train follows a route around the southwest region of Verdansk, including the train station area. Consult your Tac Map and study this area to know where the train will pass through.
Even as you explore these new areas, head to the Exterior Ascenders of some of Verdansk's tallest buildings or stop by a favorite location to pick up some new weapon types, which may provide tactical advantages for you and your squad.

2. The ISO SMG and AN-94 assault rifle stand out in the Season 5 Battle Pass lineup
- ISO SMG: A precision-crafted 9mm submachine gun with rapid fire capability. Lightweight, reliable, and compact, it's designed for players to control the battlefield at close range.
- AN-94 AR: An advanced Russian 5.45x39mm assault rifle with a unique hyperburst feature: Initial shots of an automatic burst are followed by an immediate second burst before you feel the recoil. This creates a series of tightly grouped shots, significantly increasing damage output.
3. 4 new free multiplayer maps
Season 5 brings 4 new multiplayer maps. First up is Petrov Oil Rig, a 6v6 map with some neat tricks you should consider like so:
- Path to success: Explore the inner, outer, and mid-roadways between the two spawn areas—the rescue dinghy station and the dock—along with the central bridge, coffee shop, oil storage, and large drilling rig.
- Sightlines and sniper lanes: All three main lanes run from north to south and offer opportunities for long-range shots or sniper battles. Utilize the surrounding environment to earn perfect sightlines on the map.
- Hide and seek and side assault for CQB: Cut through architectural structures and multiple lanes with an SMG and AR in hand to assault enemies from the sides. These weapon types also excel in skirmishes within the lanes, if properly equipped.
Three other new maps include Suldal Harbor, Verdansk International Airport, and Livestock—a frenzied gunfight map designed for 6v6 battles late this season.
