Along this route, you have 2 options: take the Hiếu Liêm ferry to reach the hydroelectric dam or go straight to Vĩnh An town. If you choose the Hiếu Liêm ferry route, it's only suitable for motorcycles, not recommended for cars. The small car ferries may have long waits. Taking the Hiếu Liêm ferry route will save you up to 10km compared to going straight to Vĩnh An town.
The ferry operates even at night. Once it's full, it will depart. If you're traveling by car, you can take the expressway or National Highway 1. Choose the most convenient route depending on your camping location.

Along the road by Trị An Lake, there are also many similar spots. You can drive around to find a suitable spot.
– Trị An Lake is divided into 2 parts, one large lake and one small. There are few camping spots by the large lake, which is somewhat puzzling. Rumor has it that there have been a few robbery incidents, so people tend to camp less by the large lake.

This campground features a café located along the lakefront road. It's close to the Trị An hydroelectric plant, and in the evenings, it attracts many visitors who come to enjoy drinks and the view. There's an entrance fee of 20k per person with no tent or SUP rental services available. They provide bathrooms and toilets on-site, and you can purchase water, coffee, food, and firewood.
This campground gets quite crowded on weekends.

Please call ahead to the island owner, Ms. Năm Bầu, at 0867768838, and she'll arrange a boat to pick you up to the island. Additionally, you can contact Ms. Năm in advance to arrange accommodation or pre-order wild boar, deer, chicken... The free-range chicken on the island is delicious. There's a per-person fee for visiting the island. Remember to inquire beforehand to avoid any confusion.
How to get to Năm Bầu Island?
Just contact Ms. Năm in advance, and she'll guide you to a parking spot for the boat pick-up to the island. Usually, you'll take a wooden boat, and the journey from shore to island takes about 10 to 15 minutes swaying on the lake.

Location of Trị An Lake Campground – Ó Island
If you're looking for a place with full amenities, restaurants, and resorts in the middle of the lake, Ó Island is an excellent choice. Ó Island consists of 2 small islands connected by a floating bridge. There are charming restaurants and bungalows on the island, priced around 900 to 1000k per night. You can rent a bungalow there, bring your own food for a BBQ party if you like. They have kitchen facilities and plenty of charcoal, so you don't need to bring much.
For getting around the island, there are electric cars available for short rides, but a loop around the main island is only about 3 km, so you can stroll or jog to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. They also rent tandem bicycles for a romantic ride around the lake.
