According to the data, the number of PCs shipped from July to September 2023 was 65.5 million units, down 6.7% from the same period last year but significantly less than the 30% annual decline seen in Q1/2023.

This quarter, Apple faced a 29% decline in total computer shipments. However, Canalys believes this is not surprising as the company achieved impressive sales figures last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic forcing many people to study and work remotely from home.
Kieren Jessop, Research Analyst at Canalys, stated that many challenges facing the PC market are being addressed. Now, suppliers can expect additional demand from AI, with the anticipation that the adoption of AI-capable PCs will accelerate from 2025 onwards.
