The Pancake 28mm f/2.8 STM incorporates 8 lenses arranged in 6 groups. Notably, it includes 3 aspherical lenses with Canon's Super Spectra Coating (SSC) to eliminate ghosting and flare issues, particularly in challenging backlight conditions. This ensures optimal color reproduction and balance.
This lens features an aperture range from f/2.8 to f/22, equipped with 7 distinct aperture blades (55mm filter size). Canon commits to delivering a smooth manual focus system, ideal for video shooting. The minimum focusing distance is 23cm, with a maximum magnification of 0.17x. Despite its compact size of 6.86 x 2.54 mm, this lens ensures image stability.
