However, few know that there's another game, despite being positively received by global audiences, has been cold-shouldered by this publisher and deemed a 'commercial failure.' That game is Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, a sorrowful blockbuster that has been around for nearly 15 years.

Debuting in 2010, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective only has one version and frequently encounters serious issues during release and development. For those unfamiliar, this game tells the story of Sissel, an amnesiac ghost with supernatural powers. By solving puzzles and interacting with eccentric characters, players must endeavor to help Sissel regain his identity, prevent his murder through time-travel, and tackle numerous complex challenges.

Recently, Capcom officially announced the halt of distributing this game starting from 25/3/2024. In fact, this decision isn't too surprising as Ghost Trick has faced similar situations several times on iOS when updating to the new version and fixing bugs. However, the publisher promises to bring back the game with an HD remastered version - a newer version, significantly improved and upgraded graphics compared to the original game. On other platforms, Ghost Trick has experimented with this version, but with iOS it's completely opposite.

After nearly 14 years of battling on iOS, it's evident that a 'veteran' like Ghost Trick needs to rest and be replaced with a new look. Capcom's cessation of distribution this time can be considered a wise and fitting choice to 'rescue' this game at the current time. It's known that after 25/3/2024, players won't be able to find Ghost Trick on the Appstore. For those who already own the game, some content will also face restricted access. However, players who have downloaded it can still find it in the store if they want to experience it.

However, it's sad that player data from the old version won't be supported for transfer to the new version (if any). Therefore, until the cessation of distribution announcement takes effect, interested gamers can download Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective to experience it before this version permanently 'fades away'.
