The cathedral was constructed from 1906 to 1912 during the French colonial period. Initially, the French only built a model of a thatched roof house, and it wasn't until 1937 that Tam Dao Cathedral was reconstructed as it stands today. This is one of the rare structures that survived the intense war, still carrying the essence of a Northern Dalat.
- Architecture

Tam Dao Cathedral is constructed with stone on a foundation 10m high, following the Gothic architectural model. The cathedral has 2 floors. The first floor is spacious, with stone steps leading to the upper floor. The second floor has a large courtyard that can accommodate 100 people, a bell tower, and a 286 m2 holy sanctuary where the Tam Dao congregation prays.
As a regular tourist, you'll only be able to stand outside, checking in around the courtyard and the picturesque scenes of moss-covered, ancient exteriors of the cathedral.
