How to Capture Screenshots with FireShot on Firefox
Step 1: Download and install FireShot. You can download the latest version of FireShot
Step 2: Run the setup file after downloading. On the interface, select Install to begin the installation process
- Once the installation process is complete, click Close
- A notification appears prompting you to restart the Firefox browser to complete. Click OK and restart the browser
- Capture Visible area and…: captures the visible area of the webpage displayed on the screen.
- Capture Selected area and…: selects an area and captures the image.
All these functions come with options:
- Edit…: Edit images, add image captions, apply effects,…
- Upload…: Upload images to websites like Facebook, Twitter,…
- Save…: Save images from the webpage.
- Save as PDF…: Save images from the webpage as a PDF file.
- Print…: Print images.
- Copy to Clipboard…: Copy images to clipboard.
- E-Mail…: Send images via email.
- Open in external Editor…: Open Windows Paint program to edit images.
Step 4: Select the area and capture the image on the webpage
- Access the webpage you want to capture, click on FireShot (1), choose the capture type, select Capture Selected area and… (2), then choose Save… (3).
- Press and hold the left mouse button, drag the frame over the desired area, then release the mouse.
The program will prompt a window to store the just-captured image. Choose the storage location, set the file name and select the format, then click Save to save the image.
The saved image will be in JPG format.
