Unlike Windows, where you use PrintScreen and then go to Paint to edit the image, or Mac OS with its myriad of shortcut keys for capturing screenshots, ChromeBook offers two functions: capturing full-screen and capturing a selected area. With a dedicated capture key, which we'll affectionately call Screen, as shown below.
To capture the entire screen, press the Ctrl + Screen key combination, and the image will be instantly saved.
If you want to capture screenshots on ChromeBook in sections, press Ctrl + Shift + Screen, and a cursor icon with a '+' sign will appear for you to select the desired area.
Once you've captured a screenshot on ChromeBook, the image files will automatically be saved in the Download folder. You can navigate to the Download folder to view and edit the images as needed.
Currently, ChromeBook has limited support for software, including screenshot capture tools. Therefore, here's a temporary method you can use to capture screenshots on your computer.
