Nasal inflammation is a common condition in children, especially during transitional weather, excessively dry or humid air.
Whenever the wind changes, seeing your child with a runny nose, constantly stuffy, congested, leading to loss of appetite and difficulty sleeping, every mother can't help but feel heartbroken. Therefore, during those days, mothers should pay more attention to caring for their child to help them recover quickly and, above all, prevent disease recurrence.

Nasal discharge is commonly divided into 2 types:
– Chronic nasal inflammation: often allergic rhinitis, prone to sinusitis
– Acute nasal inflammation: is a type of inflammation caused by viruses. Symptoms include fever, sneezing, continuous runny nose.
Tips for Caring for a Child with Nasal Inflammation:
- Keep your child's chest warm, especially when going out in cold weather or when sleeping, while ensuring proper ventilation. Avoid overheating your child, which can lead to sweating. Sweating can cause the child to catch cold and worsen their condition.
- Regularly clean your child's nose with saline solution.
- For younger children who can't blow their nose, use a specialized nasal aspirator to clear any mucus buildup in the nasal cavity.
- Absolutely avoid using your fingers or any sharp objects to pick or dig your child's nose.
