Similar to the rest of the country, Hanoi is intensifying efforts to stimulate domestic tourism. Hanoitourist company, in collaboration with the Management Board of Hoa Lo Prison Relic, is offering discounted night tours at Hoa Lo Prison for 150,000 VND per person.
Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Director of the Management Board of Hoa Lo Prison Relic, shares: “Many people have passed by Hoa Lo Prison but have never set foot inside to explore. I hope this is an opportunity for families to discover new tourism products of the capital city, experiencing innovation and creativity in bringing historical stories closer to the public.”
The Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is being utilized by some travel agencies to develop unique tour packages.

The outskirts of Hanoi offer numerous new tourist spots and resorts, making it a preferred choice for many families during the New Year holidays in 2021.

Nowadays, numerous resorts in the outskirts of Hanoi offer varying price ranges, catering to diverse traveler needs. Paragon Resort announces no room rate increase during the New Year holiday, offering a rate of nearly 1.3 million dong per room for 2 persons, inclusive of entrance fees and breakfast. ASEAN Resort offers a rate of 2.5 million dong per room for 2 persons, including 1 breakfast and 1 main meal. The eco-tourism destination, Mit Village (Son Tay), offers rooms at 1.3 million dong each, currently fully booked for stays on January 1st and 2nd, 2021.
Apart from resort accommodations, families with young children can opt for community tourism experiences at certain tourist spots such as Duong Lam ancient village, or homestays in Ba Vi and Son Tay.
According to Deputy Director in charge of Hanoi Tourism Department, Tran Trung Hieu, this New Year holiday, travelers tend to opt for short vacations, small groups, and often favor leisure-oriented tourism products. This presents a good opportunity for tourism businesses to attract Hanoi and nearby region visitors.
The Tourism Department has issued a directive to tourism businesses, requiring them to ensure service quality, develop new attractive tourism products for domestic visitors. Simultaneously, businesses must ensure safety in disease prevention, fire prevention, environmental hygiene, and transparent pricing of services.
