The 6th annual cultural, sports, and tourism festival of the Khmer ethnic group in Kiên Giang Province is set to unfold from November 27 to 29, 2012, in Gò Quao district.
This year, the event anticipates drawing over 26 delegations from various communes, districts, towns, and cities within the province, as well as from Hậu Giang and Bạc Liêu provinces.
Numerous cultural, sports, and tourism activities, rich in Khmer cultural hues, are on the agenda, including the Beautiful Water Pavilion Construction Contest, Khmer cultural festivities, and sports competitions (boat racing, dragon boat racing, three-leaf boat racing, Taekwondo competition, Khmer ethnic 11-player football tournament, Khmer ethnic volleyball tournament, etc.). Especially, the Khmer Art Troupe and Kiên Giang Folk Opera Troupe are set to perform to entertain the audience on the evenings of November 28 and 29, 2012.
