Honor's CEO vows to advance various versions of MagicOS in the future, aiming to compete with Apple in both hardware and software ecosystems.
During an event at Honor's R&D center in Shenzhen, the company's CEO revealed ambitious plans to directly challenge Apple's iOS.
Introducing Honor Magic5He also mentioned that Honor's R&D expenditure in 2022 accounted for 10% of the company's total revenue, which is the main reason they are optimistic about the future of MagicOS. Currently, Honor's latest version, Honor Magic5, will come with MagicOS 7.0.
Honor Magic5 will run on the latest operating system, MagicOS 7.0Zhao Ming, Honor's CEO, boldly asserts that Apple's smartphones have inferior hardware, outdated design, poor signal reception, and shorter battery life compared to many Android smartphones, including their newly launched Magic5 series. He states that people primarily flock to Apple because of iOS and the ecosystem it provides.
Despite any dislike for Apple, people universally acknowledge that Apple's iOS is smooth, user-friendly, reliable, and incredibly powerful. Therefore, to stand shoulder to shoulder with Apple, Honor needs to compete in this aspect with future versions of MagicOS.
