AMD Officially Unveils Ryzen 6000 Mobile Series CPUs for Laptops at CES 2022As expected, AMD has officially announced its new Ryzen 6000 Mobile series CPUs at CES 2022, succeeding the Ryzen 5000 Mobile series introduced at CES 2021.
AMD introduces Ryzen 6000 Mobile series CPUs with processing speeds 1.3 times faster, twice the gaming performance, and up to 24 hours of battery life. The H series (with TDP 35W to 45W) is designed for high-intensity tasks, gaming, or creative work, while the U series (with TDP 15W to 28W) targets thin and light laptops.
Ryzen 6000 Mobile series utilizes the CPU Zen 3+ architectureRyzen 6000 Mobile series is known to use the new CPU Zen 3+ architecture, manufactured on the 6nm process, and has transitioned to the modern RDNA2 graphics architecture applied in the Radeon 6000 series GPUs.
At the forefront of this new CPU lineup is the Ryzen 9 6980HX with eight cores, 16 threads, a base clock of 3.3 GHz (up to 5.0 GHz), and a 12-core GPU clocked at 2.4 GHz. All Ryzen 9 and Ryzen 7 versions include the Radeon 680M GPU with 12 GPU cores, while Ryzen 5 variants use the less powerful Radeon 660M GPU with 6 GPU cores.
