CES officially steps down as the reigning champion right after the first playoffs match of VCS Spring 2022.
On the opening day of the VCS Spring 2022 playoffs, CERBERUS Esports faced off against Team Secret. One side, the reigning champions of VCS Winter 2021, and on the other, a resurging TS with SBTC Esports veterans like Artifact, Penguin, and Hiro02. This match held immense significance for both teams, especially for CES, as they displayed a rather lackluster performance in this Spring season.
However, 'Divine Dogs' couldn't reclaim their form or the performances that led them to victory in VCS Winter 2021. On a day when EGO didn't play, CES members even failed to showcase the prowess of the reigning champions. In all three games, TS demonstrated complete dominance. Moreover, the time TS concluded game 2 was even faster than game 1. Moving to game 3, although the kill score difference wasn't significant, TS held all the advantages. The 3-0 victory for 'Secret Society' was entirely deserved.

Unfortunately, the 'Mythical Beasts' couldn't regain their form, especially in the absence of EGO. CES members failed to showcase the championship spirit, and in all three games, TS dominated completely. The 3-0 victory for 'Shadow Sect' was well-deserved.
