Alienware x16: Delving into the Powerhouse Specs of the 'World's Premier Gaming Laptop' (Image: PCMag)Recently, Dell unveiled a range of new gaming laptops at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Prior to this, we've heard about two new names, the Alienware M16 and M18. Not stopping there, the brand also introduced the Alienware x16, dubbed the 'world's premier gaming laptop.'
The device comes with a Lunar Silver Legend 3.0 chassis measuring approximately 18.57 mm thick and weighing 2.72 kg. The 16-inch display offers three variants: QHD+ (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) 165 Hz, QHD+ 240 Hz, and Full HD+ (1,920 x 1,200 pixels) 480 Hz. All three panels feature G-Sync capabilities, 3 ms response time, and support for Dolby Vision HDR. A Full HD IR webcam supporting Windows Hello login is also integrated into the screen.
With the Alienware x16, Dell has provided several Intel Raptor Lake-H CPU options, including the Core i7-13620H, Core i7-13700H, and Core i9-13900HK. Additionally, the product is equipped with the latest Nvidia Ada RTX 40 GPU lineup, such as the 140 W RTX 4050 6 GB, 140 W RTX 4060 8 GB, 140 W RTX 4070 8 GB, 175 W RTX 4080 12 GB, and 175 W RTX 4090 16 GB.

According to Dell, a vapor chamber cooling system is employed in setups based on the RTX 4080 and 4090 graphics cards. A 12-phase VRM provides stable power to ensure optimal GPU performance during extended gaming sessions.
Customers can opt for up to 32 GB of LPDDR5-6000 RAM (for the Core i9-13900HK version) and up to 4 TB of PCIe storage for the Alienware x16. Additionally, the device can feature either a low-profile CherryMX mechanical keyboard or an Alien X Series keyboard, both equipped with AlienFX RGB backlighting on each key.
AlienFX effects for the mouse pad, claimed by Dell to be over 15% larger than the effects in the Alienware x17 R2, are also available in select versions. The Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675 or AX1690 WLAN card with Bluetooth 5.3 handles networking requirements. All versions of the Alienware x16 are Dolby Atmos certified.

After one day of sales, Dell will offer a standard version starting at $2,149.99 (about 50.6 million VND). Finally, the Alienware x16 with AMD options will be launched in the second quarter of 2023.
