MAPPA has risen to fame among anime enthusiasts due to the quality and meticulous investment in its projects.
When MAPPA is mentioned, people often think of meticulously crafted animated works. In recent years, MAPPA has become one of Japan's most successful anime studios, widely known for its high-quality masterpieces.
As a result, last month, the renowned Japanese website Mynavi News conducted a survey among its readers, inquiring about their favorite animated films produced by MAPPA. The voting lasted for approximately 20 days, yielding quite surprising results.
It's important to note that Mynavi News conducted this survey to commemorate the global trend of the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation when the voting took place. However, it failed to make it into the top 5 audience choices for 'Beloved Anime Produced by MAPPA.'
And here are the final results:
5. Zombieland Saga – 6%

Zombieland Saga is among the idol anime series with zombies as the central focus of the story. It follows Sakura Minamoto, who dreams of becoming an idol but tragically becomes a victim of a traffic accident. Upon waking up, she discovers she has become a zombie. She is then recruited into an idol group consisting entirely of zombies.

4. Attack on Titan: The Final Season – 6%

The fourth spot belongs to the excellent animated adaptation from Hajime Isayama's original work, Attack on Titan. With a massive fanbase from the original manga, the adaptation was highly anticipated.
Before this, the first three seasons of this franchise were produced by WIT Studios. However, for the final season, the production was handed over to MAPPA Studios. WIT Studios relinquished their role due to the overwhelming workload, entrusting MAPPA to complete the remaining tasks to ensure the best quality for the series.
And as expected, MAPPA didn't disappoint WIT, while the audience got to enjoy some incredibly high-quality footage.
3. Jujutsu Kaisen – 13%

Jujutsu Kaisen also stands as a highly successful adaptation project by MAPPA. Originally a manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, transforming a weekly manga into an animated series was no easy feat.
However, MAPPA managed to create an entertainment piece that everyone could indulge in and be satisfied with, all while ensuring the artistic quality of the work.
2. Banana Fish – 14%

Banana Fish is considered a masterpiece by Akimi Yoshida, having sold over 10 million copies. This outstanding classic manga was serialized in various magazines from 1985 to 1994, with the protagonist Ash Lynx arguably being one of the most beloved characters in manga history.
And you know, adapting such a masterpiece into an anime would inevitably face public scrutiny. Yet, MAPPA did an excellent job with the adaptation, creating a well-received anime masterpiece.
1. Yuri!!! on ICE – 37%

The series revolves around the relationship between Japanese figure skater Katsuki Yuri, his idol - Russian figure skating champion Victor Nikiforov, and the Russian junior skater Yuri Plisetsky.
The highlight of this figure skating anime is its incredibly well-animated skating scenes. Additionally, the pain and struggles of the athletes are beautifully depicted, touching the hearts of viewers. Perhaps no one other than MAPPA could elevate this sport to such heights in an animated film.
