Here are some upgrade points noticed in the beta version of Counter-Strike 2

Fire Smoke Effects in-game
Smoke grenades in CS 2 will now be flexible blocks interacting with the environment, reacting to light, bullet flames, and explosive blast force.
Smoke clouds will now have the ability to interact with elements and surroundings in the game. You can now shoot through smoke clouds or use explosive grenades to clear some smoke from smoke grenades.

Moreover, smoke can now seep through door cracks and windows, even spill down staircases as well as spread out into corridors. Particularly, it can blend in with other types of smoke.
Simultaneously, smoke particles will synchronize with the lighting system, allowing smoke to portray color and light more realistically.
Map Upgrades

The maps have also been renovated, becoming cleaner and more detailed. Brightness has also been significantly improved, and many sceneries have been altered, demonstrating the effective utilization of the Source 2 graphics platform.
From refurbishing to upgrading old sceneries, the maps have become tidier, brighter, and more visually appealing.
These are maps using graphic upgrades to create new lighting of Source 2, including a physics-based rendering system to enhance the realism of surfaces, lighting, and light reflection most authentically.
Weapons and Skins

Your entire inventory from CS:GO will seamlessly transition to CS 2, ensuring you retain all your beloved skins and knives from before. Everything will shine with meticulously crafted Source 2 lighting effects.
In addition to supporting legacy models and designs, all basic weapons receive upgrades with high-resolution aesthetics, alongside some brand-new weapon designs that leverage these sleek looks.
Compared to many, the upgrades in Counter Strike 2 may not seem groundbreaking, merely enhancing lighting, interactivity, shadowing... With minimal outward weapon changes, some may find these upgrades less significant for a game that debuted long ago.
