On July 1st, Saigon station announced the temporary suspension of PT4/PT3 trains on weekends (Saigon – Phan Thiet and vice versa), introducing additional SPT4/SPT3 daily trains instead.
As of July 12-28, PT4/PT3 weekend trains between Saigon – Phan Thiet and vice versa will be temporarily halted.

Simultaneously, SPT4/SPT3 trains will be added to run daily between Saigon – Phan Thiet and vice versa. Specifically, SPT4 departs from Saigon from July 8-30, with a schedule departing from Saigon at 5:30 PM and arriving in Phan Thiet at 9:28 PM (following the current schedule of PT4).
SPT3 departs from Phan Thiet from July 9-31, with a schedule departing from Phan Thiet at 6:10 AM and arriving in Saigon at 10:55 AM.
Stations for passenger pickup and drop-off on the route include: Saigon, Bien Hoa, Gia Huynh, Binh Thuan, Phan Thiet.

Mr. Thai Van Truyen, Deputy Head of Saigon Station, stated that this change is in response to the request from the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee to meet the increased passenger demand during the summer of 2013 on the Saigon – Phan Thiet route.
