Following the approval of immigration amendments by Singapore's parliament on September 18, an announcement was made to enable biometric customs clearance without passports for flights departing from Changi Airport from early 2024.



This policy aims to better address scenarios like pandemics, strengthen border control, rationalize the management of cards and permits for foreigners and residents, facilitating swift and secure procedures when departing from Changi Airport (Singapore).
