Every modem inherently has a unique login account and password, but the modem login password is changeable. By changing the modem login password, you can block other users from accessing the modem configuration page and adjusting Wi-Fi settings on computers. In essence, changing the admin login password for the modem is just as important as frequently changing the Wi-Fi password.
Changing admin login password for Vigor Draytek modem, router
Step 1: Access the setup and configuration page of your Draytek modem on your computer by entering the following address into the address bar of any web browser.

Step 2: In the management interface of the Draytek modem setup and configuration page, enter the login username (Username) and password (Password) as admin. Press Login or Enter to proceed.

Step 3: In the wifi modem configuration interface, navigate to the System Maintenance tab to change the Draytek wifi password.
In this experiment, Mytour is executing the method to change the Draytek 2912 wifi password.
Step 4: Select the User Password section to initiate changing the Draytek modem admin password. Note that for new users of the Draytek wifi modem, you need to configure the Draytek modem early, including changing the Draytek wifi pass, which is the first thing to do to use your personal Draytek wifi pass instead of the default password from the manufacturer Vigor.
Step 5: Check the box next to Enable User Mode for simpleweb configuration (Applicable to new Draytek modems) and allow guest users to participate in basic network configuration.
Delete and update the password in the Password field. Then, you need to re-enter the password in the Confirm Password section. Press OK to complete.
Here are the recommendations provided by Vigor when users change the administration password for Draytek modem and router.
- Passwords can contain characters from “a-z”, “A-Z”, “0-9”, “,”, “;”, “.”, “<>”
- Passwords cannot consist entirely of asterisks (), for example, “**”. You can only set it up like: 123* or *456.
To log in as a regular user, leave the Username field empty.
Press OK to restart the modem and save all changes.
By default, the Draytek wifi modem will automatically restart for changes to take effect. If the modem does not restart automatically, you need to press the Reset button on the Draytek modem.
Above is the method for changing the administration login password for the Vigor Draytek modem and router for guest users. If you are the administrator of the Draytek modem and have the highest authority to use the modem, you must switch to the Administrator Password section above.

* On older versions of Draytek modems, changing the Draytek wifi password may differ slightly from changing the Draytek 2912 wifi password.
In the Draytek modem configuration interface, select System Maintenance > Administrator Password.
Here, you enter the old password in the Old Password field, input the new password in the New Password field, and retype the new Draytek wifi password in the Retype New Password field. Press OK to complete.
Every modem or router always has a specific username and password to access the modem configuration page and change the wifi access password. If changing the FPT wifi password uses the username and password admin, then for some models like Tenda from VNPT, the username and password may be megavnn.
Additionally, when configuring the modem to broadcast wifi, users need to be extremely careful not to configure important parameters that you do not know, as this can pose a danger to your home modem. If you configure wifi broadcasting incorrectly, you may be vulnerable to hackers stealing information, network attacks, changing wifi passwords, or performing other malicious activities. The simplest and easiest tricks are to change the modem administrator password, router Vigor Draytek, or just change the wifi password.
In the event of a network attack, the simplest way to recover that wifi password is to reset the modem and quickly change to a new wifi password that is harder to ensure the security of your Draytek modem.
