Changing Background Color in Word 2010/2013
*For Word 2013
Step 1: Launch Microsoft Office 2013.
Step 2: Navigate to the Design tab. Under Page Backgroud, click Page Color to choose from available colors and set it as the background color for your current page. Alternatively, for personalized background color, opt for More Colors.
Tip: Quickly change background color by using the shortcut Alt + E to switch to the Design tab, then simultaneously press P and C to navigate to the Page Color option.
*For Word 2010
Step 1: Start Microsoft Office 2010.
Step 2: Go to the Page Layout tab and under Page Backgroud, select Page Color to choose a color for the current page background. Similar to Office 2013, for custom background, choose More Colors.
You can easily notice the difference in changing backgrounds between Word 2010 and 2013. In Word 2010, you would opt for Page Layout, whereas this option is found under the Design tab in Word 2013.
