While Google remains the most popular search engine, you're not obligated to use it as your default. There are many great alternatives like Bing, DuckDuckGo, and more. If you're looking to switch from Google, here's how you can change your default search engine in your browser.

Changing Default Search Engine in Chrome
To change the default search engine in Chrome, click on the three-dot icon at the top right corner. Go to Settings.

Scroll down to the Search engine section, under the line Search engine used in the address bar, choose one of the provided search engines. This will be Chrome's default search engine.

If the search engine you need isn't listed here, press Manage search engines.

Enter the name of the search engine you need in the box at the top right corner. Note that it must be a website you've visited in the past to be found here.

Click on the three-dot icon next to the search engine you want, select Make default.

Returning to the Search engine settings, you'll see the selected search engine has been set as default.

Changing Search Engine in Firefox
Setting up a search engine in Firefox is as simple as in Chrome. Click on the three horizontal lines at the top right corner, choose Options.

Select Search from the left menu column.

In the Default Search Engine section, choose the search engine that suits you. This will be the default search engine for the Firefox browser.

Selecting Default Search Engine in Microsoft Edge
For Microsoft Edge, you need to access the URL of the search engine before setting it as default. For example, if you want to add DuckDuckGo, visit https://duckduckgo.com/.
Click on the three-dot icon at the top right corner and choose Settings.

In the Settings tab, type 'address bar' in the search box and select Address bar from the results.

Change the default search engine under the line Search engine used in the address bar.

Additionally, you can choose Manage search engines to add other search tools, similar to Chrome.

Changing the search engine on Safari iOS
The process is straightforward. Access Settings on your iPhone (iPad), navigate to Safari. On the right panel, select Search Engine.

On the next screen, choose one of the provided search engines, though the list is limited with only 4 common options and cannot be manually expanded.

So, selecting your preferred search engine only takes a few clicks, regardless of the browser you're using. Wishing you a fun and safe web browsing experience!
