How to Change Slide Background in PowerPoint 2010
Step 1: Create a new slide or open an existing one. Select the Design tab, then click on the Format Background menu. Alternatively, you can also right-click on any slide and choose Format Background.
Step 2: The Format Background window appears, click on the Picture or texture fill option to set the slide background as an image.
Click on Texture to choose a different background style from the available library.
You can also customize the attributes of the background such as position, zoom in/out.
Switch to the Picture Corrections tab to adjust the brightness/contrast, light/darkness of the background.
Step 3: If you want to select an image from your computer as the background, click on the Insert tab.
Step 4: The Insert Pictures window appears, click on From a file.
Step 5: Then select the path to the folder containing your image and click Insert to insert the image.
After successfully inserting the image from your computer, you can also perform customizations to the background as in the above steps.
